Bes and Neferte
$45.00Price
A beautifully rendered image of the Egyptian dwarf god Bes and Neferte the god of the Blue lotus. This painting was inspired by research on the "Cups of Bes" which were analyzed to discover they once held an ayahuasca like brew containing syrian rue, cleome, blue lotus and the bodily fluids of pregnant women. The prevailing theory is that the brew was used to explore the mysteries of birth.
Signed giclee prints are available. Paper size 13*19 inch and image size 7.5 *11.5 inch.
