INTEGRATIVE BIOGRAPHY

"The first step on the path is know yourself and the evolution of what you carry from your ancestors."

Integrative Biography

What is Integrative Biography?

Your life has a form. We look at turning points, relationships, losses, awakenings, and recurring questions across the years, then bring them into a coherent picture. See what has been moving through your life and choose how you carry it forward.

The Seven-Year Cycles

These planetary names are symbolic lenses for reflection.

Moon · 0–7 — Embodiment, home, and early belonging.

Mercury · 7–14 — Learning, language, and the widening world.

Venus · 14–21 — Affection, beauty, and emerging values.

Sun · 21–28 — Identity, vocation, and finding a center.

Mars · 28–35 — Action, boundaries, and chosen responsibility.

Jupiter · 35–42 — Meaning, expansion, and perspective.

Saturn · 42–49 — Reckoning, maturity, and what endures.

INTEGRATIVE BIOGRAPHY

See the patterns of your life. Understand what has been moving through them. Choose how you carry them forward.

Our lives have patterns.

Relationships, conflicts, losses, opportunities and questions return, sometimes years apart and in very different forms. When we are living inside those events, it can be difficult to see the larger structure connecting them.

Integrative Biography creates enough distance to begin seeing that structure without reducing the life to a theory.

I work with the biography through seven-year developmental cycles, drawing from Rudolf Steiner, Jungian and archetypal psychology, genealogy, family history, and intergenerational patterns.

The purpose is not to fit your life into a predetermined system.

It is to look carefully at what actually happened and ask:

What has been developing through my life, and how do I want to meet it now?

The Seven-Year Cycles

The first seven cycles follow a traditional planetary sequence. Each planet gives us a symbolic way of approaching the developmental character of that period.

Moon — Birth to 7

Embodiment and belonging

Family, attachment, the physical body, trust, imitation and our first experience of being in the world.

Mercury — 7 to 14

Learning and relationship

Language, education, friendship, movement, authority, curiosity and the development of an inner imaginative life.

Venus — 14 to 21

Identity and awakening

Attraction, sexuality, beauty, values, social identity, independence and the awakening of adult feeling.

Sun — 21 to 28

Entering adult life

Love, work, experimentation, vocation and the attempt to build a life that begins to feel like one's own.

Mars — 28 to 35

Will and testing

Commitment, partnership, conflict, assertion, work and the testing of earlier choices through action.

Jupiter — 35 to 42

Meaning and expansion

Experience begins to gather into perspective. Questions of purpose, responsibility, unrealized possibility and meaning often deepen.

Saturn — 42 to 49

Individuation and reckoning

Limits become clearer. Inherited roles and older structures may be confronted as we begin asking what is essential and what truly belongs to us.

The cycles continue beyond forty-nine.

The important thing is not the label itself. We place the actual events of your life into the chronology and look for genuine relationships between them.

A theme may appear in childhood and return seven, fourteen or twenty-one years later in a completely different form.

The deeper question is not simply:

What repeated?

It is:

How did your relationship to it change?

Sometimes a difficult pattern repeats.

Sometimes a capacity develops in response to it.

Sometimes a pattern that moved through several generations stops with one person.

Those transformations can be as important as the repetitions themselves.

Biography & Genealogy

A biography does not begin at birth.

We enter families that already have histories.

Migration, displacement, marriage, separation, vocation, illness, loss, economic circumstances, family roles, secrecy, conflict and resilience may move through several generations before appearing in a new form within an individual life.

For that reason, genealogy can become an important part of the work.

Our first exploratory call is also a planning session for genealogy and family-history research.

We look at what is already known, which family branches may be important, what documents or records might exist, and which questions are actually worth investigating.

Genealogy gives us facts where facts are available.

Biography asks what those facts may mean within the life that followed.

The two should never be confused.

Family records may be incomplete, contradictory or unavailable, and interpretation remains interpretation.

But when genuine connections appear, they can add another dimension to understanding the biography.

Jungian & Archetypal Patterns

Biography also contains images.

Certain roles, conflicts, dreams, relationships and turning points can take on an archetypal quality.

Jungian work gives us a language for exploring these patterns without turning them into diagnoses.

We may encounter themes involving initiation, exile, sacrifice, descent, rebirth, the shadow, the parent, the child, the wanderer, the healer, the trickster or other recurring forms.

The question is not whether a person is an archetype.

The question is whether an archetypal pattern helps illuminate something that has genuinely appeared in the life.

Your Integrative Biography Report

After the biography sessions, I create a personalized Integrative Biography Report.

The report brings together:

  • your life chronology

  • the seven-year developmental cycles

  • major transitions and turning points

  • recurring themes

  • transformations across cycles

  • relevant genealogical and intergenerational material

  • Jungian and archetypal themes

  • places where inherited patterns appear to have changed

Conversation lets us discover the story.

The report lets us see its structure.

It becomes both a record of the biography work and a map for the ceremonial work that follows.

Ceremony

The ceremonial portion takes place live over the phone.

I use live musical performance, traditional singing, rhythm, voice, silence and guided trance or imaginal work to help move the process beyond ordinary analytical thinking.

The biography has already given us a map.

Ceremony allows us to enter that map differently.

We may work imaginally with ancestors, significant places in the biography, inherited family patterns, unresolved relationships, energetic alignment, or alternative possibilities within the inner landscape of the life.

This does not mean changing historical events.

The past remains the past.

What can change is our present relationship to what happened, what we continue to carry from it, and the possibilities we allow ourselves now.

The imaginal landscape gives us a place to encounter what has been inherited, what needs to be honored, what can be released, and what we consciously choose to carry forward.

Integration

After the ceremony, we meet once more.

We look at what emerged during the ceremonial work, what continued to unfold afterward, and how it connects with the life you are actually living now.

The work returns to relationships, creativity, vocation, family, decisions and everyday life.

The process follows a simple arc:

See the pattern.
Understand the pattern.
Enter the pattern.
Choose how to carry it forward.
